Yoga and sailing in the archipelago!

Sail & Yoga combines an exhilarating sailing experience with archipelago yoga under the inspiring guidance of Tuula Tulla. During the sailing, you will learn to be present and find inner peace under the conditions of nature.

Sail & Yoga – well-being in the heart of the Helsinki archipelago

Join us and experience a completely new way to relax. Participation does not require any previous sailing or yoga experience.

Tuula Tulla's yoga guidance combines body wisdom, strong anatomical understanding and training of the mind and nervous system. Tuula is a yoga teacher, pilates trainer and physiotherapist. She is familiar with methods that strengthen the body-mind connection, and calls herself a body calibrator. With Tuula, you can be exactly who you are, without the need to perform. Through gentle, listening and body-respecting exercises, you will receive a deeply supportive recovery and connection to yourself.

Return to Halkolaituri about at 5 pm

The day begins on the sailing ship Astrid and all participants can take part the sailing activities as we depart. After the departure, it is time to settle with in Tuula's first exercise, in which purpose is to strengthen your experience right from the beginning of the day, gently increasing your relationship with yourself, others and the environment. A light lunch is served during the sailing.

For yoga practice, we will land on a nearby island, which will be selected depending on the weather conditions of the day. After Heartful yoga led by Tuula, we will return to the ship and those who wish will have the opportunity to retreat to the ship's sauna to relax and even take a dip in the sea.

After the island visit, we head back towards Halkolaituri. During the sailing we will enjoy afternoon coffee and snacks in the magnificent seascapes of the Helsinki archipelago and return to your home port refreshed and rested 😊

Schedule of the day

9 am arriving to Astrid, ship introduction, smoothies and departure
9:30 am to 12 pm at sea: Sailing, first exercise and lunch
12 pm to 3 pm on an island: Yoga exercise, sauna and swim
3 pm to 17 pm at sea: Sailing and afternoon coffee and snack

Own equipment

  • Yoga mat
  • Yoga clothes that are suitable for outdoor
  • Additional wind and rainproof clothing
  • Towel and swimsuit
  • Own drinking bottle

The sailing price includes a welcome smoothie, a light lunch and a snack with coffee/tea and water. The galley service is vegan and lactose-free. Non-alcoholic refreshments can be purchased on board. Sail & Yoga is for adults and the minimum age to participate is 16 years. The day's schedule is indicative and it can be adjusted according to the weather conditions.
