Early autumn moods and the world’s most beautiful archipelago
The authentic traditional sailing ship Svanhild and the exquisite wines of Carsin are at their very best when shared with good food and friends. During the evening, you’ll hear stories about the history and present‑day life of the magnificent topsail schooner Svanhild, and a representative from the winery will join the voyage to introduce the wines and share the 30‑year story of Château Carsin as a “Finnish” wine estate.

Sail & Wine - A unique combination
The Sail & Wine evening begins with a welcome toast, a glass of Rosé de Carsin sparkling in hand and a fair wind filling the sails as we set course for the world’s most beautiful archipelago. All guests who wish to take part are welcome to join the crew in hoisting the sails.
After the welcome toast, we continue with the exotically fruity Sauvignon Gris, whose lightly toasted notes bring back memories of summer. With the white wine, we serve the Captain’s fish soup (L, M, G). The evening then moves on to the rich and generous Rouge de Carsin, paired with a selection from the Ship’s Cook’s cheese board.
As the evening drifts toward sunset, we sail back toward Halkolaituri in its warm glow. Coffee and tea are served on board, and guests also have the opportunity to purchase Château Carsinwines to enjoy during the voyage.
The ticket price includes three tasting pours as well as the dishes from the ship’s galley.
We recommend dressing according to the weather and wearing comfortable shoes. No separate tickets will be sent; your booking confirmation serves as your boarding pass upon arrival.
