14.-17.11.2025 Arctic Sailing

The route plan will shape during the trip, depending on the weather. The days are spent hiking in the archipelago and sailing while Svanhild's crew guides the guests to the secrets of sailing. So you don't need previous sailing experience to participate.

In the evenings, we go ashore in the natural harbor, take a sauna and enjoy a delicious dinner in the ship's salon. The ship's comfortable cabins guarantee sweet dreams and our chef will provide you with abundant meals throughout the journey.

In addition to all this, meteorologist Miina Manninen will join the sailing to talk about weather phenomena and how they form. During the trip, you will also get to hear amazing stories about winter navigation in the Arctic seas, where the ship's crew has sailed and conducted research.

Departure: Friday 14.11. at 4 pm from Halkolaituri, Helsinki (you can arrive to the ship at 3:30 pm)
Return: Monday 17.11. about at 4 pm to Halkolaituri, Helsinki

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Sailing is intended for everyone, as no previous sailing experience is required to participate. However, this sailing is an excellent opportunity to learn sailing skills on traditional top sail schooner, it is also a particularly great experience for all those interested in marine nature, archipelago and their history, and certainly will not leave photography enthusiasts cold either! It is an experience for first-timers as well as experienced sailors.

PRICES AND TICKETS
For the trip, you can purchase a place in a shared cabin or an entire cabin for your own use for 1-2 adults or a family cabin for three with at least one child under 13 years old.

• Place in a shared cabin: 500 €
• Cabin for 1-2 adults: 750 €
• Family cabin: 850 €

Prices include VAT, accommodation, bed linen and towels, pillows and blankets, meals (only one hot meal is served on departure and return days) and guided island tours. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased separately. Terms and conditions for longer public sailings are followed.

Members of the Helsingin Perinnepurjehtiat association receive a 10% discount on sailing tickets.
